And what do we have ?
 Another year over
Another time of stress
A meaningless ritual
 Or something else ?.

  I talked to my younger flatmate the other day about what his plans were for this 'joyous' time of the year.

 He said, "I'm going to see my mum and my sister in Rotorua" (New Zealand). I said that that would be cool, you haven't seen them for a year or two.
 And then I got to thinking,,, well, Why haven't you ??.
 It's not as if they live miles and miles away. And you 'love' them "So much".
 By car it is only an hour and a half drive away.
  So,, obviously they don't mean that much to him ?.

I came home ten minutes ago, and said to him how he must be looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.

  He said,, " I'm not going there now,, It is too far, and I have to work the next day". (Boxing day)

 HUH ????

 I just can't folow that line of reasoning I'm afraid.

  It would be a good 'excuse' if he was on a pushbike maybe ?.
